Help Nexus 7: Android L Not Working

A few days ago, I was notified about the new Android Lollipop update through a notification on my tablet, so I began to install the update (V 5.01 or 5.1.. Can't remember). Everything was working fine until after the initializing phase. I was prompted to the resting android screen with a red exclamation point that said "Error" on the bottom of it. I held down the power button until it completely shut off and turned it back on again. It was still running KitKat, so I went to Settings to try downloading Lollipop again, but it just said that the tablet was running the latest firmware there was.

I have tried booting the tablet into recovery mode and a lot of other methods to try to fix the problem, but I had no luck. Is anyone else having this problem? Can someone please guide me through on how to get the update?

Also, I have unlocked my bootloader on my Nexus 7. I was just wondering if this might be the case of why it might not be working.

Thank you!

A couple of questions.
Which N7 is it and do you have it rooted with a different recovery,,,,,,,,,,,TWRP?

It is the Nexus 7: 2013 with Wi-Fi. I have rooted my device before and had a custom recovery image (TWRP). However, when a new firmware update came out, it forced me to unroot my device, which my tablet did automatically for me.

Do you think TWRP is still on my tablet and my tablet recognizes it?

Thank you!

Probably, not sure.
I have the same tablet and I use WugFresh tool kit to do my duties. I just chose the "flash stock and unroot" which loaded the stock 5.0.1 Android L image with no root.
I plan to root and add the TWRP to the tablet soon. Ran out of time. :)
