Nexus 7 issues with WiFi or YouTube videos since version 5

Since I updated to the new operating system my Nexus 7has been giving me issues. It's either WiFi or YouTube but unsure if my tablet is on for more than 24 hours and I go to YouTube to watch videos it won't play them. It gives a retry. I tried turning WiFi off and on. Doesn't work. Closing app and opening no. Restarting tablet does fix it. But it's a pain to keep doing that ever other day. Anyone have an idea what to do to fix this?
 
Is this on the 2013 version or the 2012 version? My son has had some issues with his 2012 one?
 
People have been reporting YouTube issues a lot on 5.0. I uninstalled it then reinstalled it from playstore and its fine. I didn't do ota update, I flashed the factory image after wiping everything.
 
I've had a ton of wifi issues since updating (flashing the factory image), and YouTube fails occasionally. For YouTube, I usually either reboot or just clear the app's cache and it starts working again. The wifi issue is just annoying- my connection drops randomly and it doesn't reconnect unless I actually go into the wifi settings and manually select a network. Haven't found a solution for that yet, but it is super annoying!
 
Yeah, mine hasn't been fixed yet either and I tried everything above. Sad I loved this tablet and now I got issues.
 
Lollipop 5.0.1 factory images are up!! And yes it fixed the YouTube issues. But so did uninstalling and reinstalling the YouTube app. Most people are reporting that this update has fixed most lollipop issues.

You can't uninstall the YouTube app. Only downgrade it.
