Sorry if this has been covered. i did a search but didnt find my answer.
It seems some people are having issues getting android to work with Kenwood android App.

I am looking to buy a Kenwood player and I have the nexus. Will it work or will it be too much trouble to hassle with?

tell me your experience if you messed with this.

also did anyone find a car mount that worked well? maybe even one with the pogo pins? thanks

I have a Kenwood Excelon KDC-X395 it doesnt recognize my Galaxy Nexus when I plug it into the USB port on the radio. I have the Kenwood app on the phone, doesnt help. My ipod touch works beautifully with this radio. I wish the Android devices would work better w/ this stuff. I'd like to not have to buy an ipod when the one I have dies.

thats sucks i just bought one and the guy at crutchfield i spoke with said it would work.
go figure. no wonder Apple stock will hit $1000/share they make products that work. lol

Its because the Nexus uses the MTP protocol instead of USB mass storage like most phones do (although, my old phone used USB mass storage, and getting my Kenwood radio to recognize that properly was sketchy at best, so I stick with a 120 GB iPod that I just keep in my car).

I really wish there was some standard for this that radio manufacturers and phone manufacturers could adopt. It would solve literally all of our problems.
