Help Nexus - cannot connect kies??

MTP puts your nexus on your computer and you can use other software to manage. Very open!

You can even access files on your SGN while it's connected and you are say... copying a movie over.

I think that it's brilliant! And you don't have to download hundreds of megs of a proprietary program like on fruit devices

Thanks for this tip, I 'look for MTP. Who made mtp by the way?
(Just for the record, I am talking about the latest nexus model)
I found that airdroid is REALLY great but SLOW. And I thought that
the phone couldnt be connected as an usb storage but it can. But
a program is still wanted.

can this be used to backup messages and stuff from an older SGS Fascinate (gingerbread) then restore them on the nexus (ICS) ?

I just picked up a nexus for Telus, and want to move my stuff over.

also, MTP copying is slow...
