Root Nexus One Custom Boot Animation

I found a copy of the Nexus One boot animation and modified the desc.txt. I was wondering if it would be safe to try to boot with it as the animation. If it does not run the animation, does the phone still boot? Will there just be a black screen for those few seconds? Thanks in advance

edit: here is the desc:
480 800 30p 1 0 part0p 0 0 part1

edit two: just rebooted, did not work, but at least I know that it just shows a black screen if the boot screen does not work.
