Nexus one to captivate; No Facebook Sync?

Hey guys,

So I know there's a couple posts about this but I'm a little confused...

I had a google nexus I've but just bought a Samsung Captivate. One of my favorite features was my nexus syncing with my facebook contacts automatically. I recently just figured out that I have to "get friends" in the contact app for it to FINALLY add them to the phone. Although, It seemed to have made a new contact for each of my friends, will it eventually combine the contacts or am I screwed to have an extra 400 contacts now?!

Thanks

You can "join" the contacts. Can either do that on the phone, or export your contacts to your SD card then import them to gmail and do it there. I tend to prefer to do it on gmail since you can merge several contacts at once, and it'll update your phone anyways.

It would be so much easier if it synced like the nexus one and facebook app did but the app doesn't have a sync contacts option anymore... Ugh
