Nexus Prime coming to the UK?

Hi kids.

So my contact with Vodafone UK is up in December, and I've got my heart set on this beast. Does anyone know if it's heading to the UK? As Vodafone do the main Samsung lines, and all the previous Nexus phones. It stands to reason that they'll stock the Prime.

Can anyone confirm this?

Thanks in advance.
Andy.

Smart money says that they'll have a GSM edition of this out soon - who knows, perhaps earlier than the USA/Verizon one.

Pretty sure we'll know after the Tuesday/Wednesday Hong Kong Google/Samsung announcements. ;) :)

Alright, good talk!

Nope, let's keep this thread alive. The other threads are mainly populated by people from the US, it'll be good to have somewhere to compare the prices etc when the phone is announced.

I'm hoping to pick this phone up SIM free and either get the

I have heard that it will be released in london on the 28th nov

I'd heard November 3rd! The 28th is a long time to wait, particularly when you consider how quickly the iPhone 4S hit shops, which will be the Prime's biggest rival over the Christmas period.

On a purely selfish note I need it sooner as my ageing Orange San Francisco is unlikely to last much longer!

I'll be sticking with my

I really hope it's coming to Orange UK. I've been with them for over 5 years now, and have been looking forward to this phone for far too long. My faithful and excellent HTC Desire needs an upgrade. Although my contract options with Orange are far too good to leave, and if the Prime doesn't come to Orange, I won't be moving to another network.

3rd of november is more likely because samsung will bring Note on the market that day at least so are saying the rumors. So bringing the nexus the same day would be awsome I could deside wich to buy.

Why not just leave Orange?

I posted this on the Orange section of this forum;

I've been with Orange for over 5 years now, and my contracts have gotten better and better due to loyalty. Their service is brilliant, and their Orange Care policy has a good price and is second to none IMO. To boot my girlfriend is on Orange and we have 'Magic Numbers' to each other. Moving to another network, I won't get anywhere near as much as I currently have with Orange. And I did think about going through Carphone Warehouse but I'd much rather go with Orange. I'll have to wait and see...

Same here. I'm with orange plus I get discount from them through my work. So sticking with orange is the best option in my eyes

If timings work out like everyone seems to think they will, the GNex will be launching just as I start a 3 week holiday in the States.

Does anyone know whether I'll be able to walk into a store, pick up an unfettered phone, pop my SIM in and have it still work when I get back home?

Did that back in Jan with a nexus s. You will be fine as long as you don't buy the Ltd version.
