Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe you can change the bands as the radio is hardware and coded for specific frequencies. I can't use my I9020a (AT&T bands) on T-Mobile with 3G for this reason, the bands are not compatible. You may be able to get 2G/EDGE or 3G on the higher 2100 freq in certain areas, but not the typical 850.

TMO is deploying 1900 HSPA in areas. I'm getting the H on the Nexus I own.
It goes between H and 3G. Can't tell you the speed, I'm not interested as I don't do much that requires that download speed. Big discussion on it at Howard Forums TMO.
