Help Nexus S location issue?

Okay, I got an issue with my Nexus S. As everyone knows there are at least 3 apps in the base Android that uses the location functionality.

1) Maps
2) Navigation
3) Weather and News

1) and 2) thinks I'm in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada (which is correct). However #3 thinks I'm in Sana'a, Yemen (thus gives me the weather there). Any ideas?

I'd say start by checking the settings in News and Weather to make sure it's set to Use your location, rather than having a manual location.

On both my Nexus One and my Nexus S, at first the location tracking using mobile phone networks was very unreliable, putting me at the wrong end of the country when I was at home. After a few days it settled down and now works fine. Maps got it right but other location aware apps, eg weather and the google search page in the browser all thought I was some 400 miles away.

Make sure that on APN settings you have only one APN (the working one) the rest for some reason only clutter the system and give incorrect outputs, thus to avoid this delete the unused APN-S. Hope this works for you.
