Nexus S vs. EVO 3D

I'm gonna be upgrading either today or sometime over the weekend, and having to pay full retail price I'm wondering if I should get the Nexus S or go the extra mile and go with the EVO 3D. I know the 3D is a gimmick and all, but the EVO 3D has a 1.2ghz dual core processor and the Nexus S only has a 1ghz single core processor. the Nexus S has more storage in the device for w/e I want/need on the phone which is better than the EVO 3D's. The camera's are about the same other than one being 2D/3D and the other being 2D only. They both have QHD screens but the EVO 3D's being .3 inches larger.

I really like both phones, but what I'm torn on is if I buy the Nexus will I be suffering in the long run because of its single core processor and should just buy the more expensive EVO 3D or will the Nexus be good enough until October 2012

I know I may catch a lot of flack this being my first post, but literally I found almost nothing comparing the EVO 3D with the Nexus S on google...

Welcome to the Forums!
The Nexus S does not have a qHD screen.

Here is a specification breakdown and comparison:
Compare phones: HTC EVO 3D, Google Nexus S 4G - Phone Arena

Personally, I would get the Evo3D. It's going to be overall more future-proof.
The Nexus S does, however, run "Vanilla Android" and it's quick and snappy.

I hope you are happy with your choice. =)

Thanks for the link, looking at it made me finally decide on the EVO 3D

You are welcome!

Some highlights:
The Nexus S has a WVGA resolution Super AMOLED Screen and the Evo3D has a glasses-free 3D qHD-Resolution Super LCD. This translates to more saturated colors & deeper blacks on the Nexus S and a brighter & higher resolution display on the Evo3D.

The Evo3D support SD Card (expanded storage) of up to 32GB making it's total maximum capacity 36gb. While the Nexus S does not have an SD Card slot and supports the maximum of 16gb.

The Nexus S runs "Vanilla" Android. It's Android without any manufacturer user interfaces over it. You'll be guarenteed priority to future Android updates. The Evo3D runs HTCs "Sense 3.0" User Interface, and has some beautiful Widgets & cool features.

IMHO the Nexus S is already outdated due to the lack of dual core. Add to that the lack of microSD card, it's a no-brainer the 3VO is the clear winner here.
