Nexus screen v Razr's

So today I got the chance to have the girl at the VZW store show me their training unit.(Maybe she thought I was cute) It wasn't activated and it wasn't even running WiFi from the store. I got to play around with it for a few minutes and from what I saw and felt it looks great.

My concern is the screen. It looked from what I tell a lot better than the Razr's screen, but since it wasn't linked to network I couldn't bring up a website to compare the two...just wondering for those who have this or who have been able to use one side by side to the Razr how do the two screens compare?

One is qHD (Razr), the other is 720p (Nexus). Both are super AMOLED screens from Samsung. The Nexus should have a better looking screen since it has a higher pixel density.

Thanks...I understand that on paper the Nexus's screen should be better...I'm just wondering about the contrast. For me the Razr's screen is way too over contrasted (so much so that darker images/photos just fade to dark grey/black) and if you increase the display's brightness to 80 or 90% you kill the battery fast.

We have both the Razr and the Nexus our office (the international Nexus, to clarify).

Side by side, the Razr appears to have a brighter screen while the Nexus seems to display colors better and feature sharper images. That's not to say the Razr's is bad by any means, but the screen on the Nexus is arguably better.

If you get the chance to compare them side by side, I'd encourage you to do so, just so you can make the final call yourself. If that's not an option, I think you'd be quite happy with the screen on the Nexus.

Try to look at this image. If you can, compare the image on the Nexus and the Razr. On my Razr, my friends shirt almost gets totally washed out into black/dark brown.

It took me a while to get both devices from our Devs - it seemed one was always free when the other was taken. But I have them both in front of me now with the image you attached above.

The Nexus displays the image more crisply and with a much "brighter" brown than on the Razr (both screens have brightness set at 100%). I'm definitely still able to tell the color of the shirt on the Razr, but it is noticeably darker/more washed out, as you've described above.

Given the choice between the two screens, I'd say the Nexus is the clear winner when looking at your sample image with the above criteria.

Thanks David, that helps out a lot since the store where I would getting the phone at doesn't have working units only dummy phones and I wouldn't be able to compare it until it was bought, taken out of the box, activated and in my hands.

Also, just for anyone else wondering, at 100% brightness the Razr looked a bit brighter/better than the quoted image above (though still somewhat dark), whereas the Nexus looked more like the original image posted.
