Help Nexus thinks AC is USB

Even though it's plugged into the AC charger, my Nexus running AOKP M5 on the Franco kernel keeps reverting into USB charging mode. It will recognise AC for a few minutes, but go straight back into USB after. I don't have fast charge enabled (or rather, I didn't, but now it seems I have to compensate). Any ideas?

Are you using stock charge and cable?

generally the issue seems to stem from aftermarket charges and cables.

basically the way USB vs A/C is determined (per USB specs) is the resistance between the two center data pins. If it is below 200 ohms, it is considered a "A/C" power source.

If your using stock, could be your charger/cable is going bad :/
