NFC credit card?

im sim free but could not locate it on play store

Not sure it would matter anyway. Google Wallet is only available in the US. Granted, my carrier (Verizon) doesn't support it, so with sideloading I've been able to use it, but I would think the rest of the infrastructure would definitely be limited to the US according to Google's FAQ:
FAQ ? Google Wallet

Google Wallet is not supported by many of the U.S. Carriers. AT&T and Verizon being two of them.

Any workarounds?

Kinda strange I bought the Nexus on Sprint the day it came out and it came with a $50 credit on Google Wallet. I just switched to the Note 2 and it does not have a Google wallet that can be used. When I tried using the app it said not usable yet but I had it setup and usable on an older phone.

Add TMo to that list.

As the poster above me, I had it on my GNex that I was running on TMo. All worked well. Picked up a TMo GNote2. The app downloaded during the "restrore" process but it won't actually run due to something TMo has done to the phone.

Rooting should be the way to go. I just don't know what, if anything, needs to be done after you root to get it going. It should be possible though. I'm going to root this thing once I get the multi window update. (Well, if we get it on TMo. :( )

Liam I've read about a visa app and an orange app in a mobile magazine at the dentist. I hadn't got my note 2 then so I didn't pay too much attention at the time. I expect you would need to be on orange to use the Orange app. Kevin Bacon buys using nfc in the ee advert so ee probably have an app too. (Doesn't help you much though)

I might do some digging and see if I can get nfc payments to work for me.

If you find something that works for you let us know.

Ill try and find an O2 wallet or something but why does it need to be linked with my sim card issuer I wonder..?

Thing is I thought it was a case of loading your card details onto the phone and then using it not having to download extra apps.

Ive only used contactless once on my credit card, seems only McDonalds accepts it around here but would be nice to try it.

NFC is on in my phone but so is S Beam whats the differences?
