NFC in the UK?

What do you mean by setting up? Are you talking about Google Wallet? If so, just need to download the app from the Play Store and follow the directions. As far as uses in the UK, I'm not familiar at all.
 
Yeah sorry, I didn't realise that's what Google Wallet did. Irrelevant anyway as I can't get it for my Nexus here in the UK.

Even if you could, to my knowledge, no merchant group signed up for NFC payment (terminals) in Europe yet.
 
Really? That's a bummer. I've used it once on my Nexus and while it was pretty cool, a good ol debit card works just as easily. :)


I'm seeing a few commercials on TV showing various phones using this procedure, one being the Blackberry and I'm sure iPhone and HTC.

I fully understand that a credit does the job effectively but it would be a good option if you didn't have your wallet/credit card with you at the time needed! I'm sure I have my phone in my pocket more than I do my wallet.
