NFC Safety Query??

Just a thought......... Got the new Samsung S3 which has NFC technology built in and have been wondering if it would be possible for a person to make an app that you could just scan over peoples cards and it would take money (upto

How would they take money? By hacking a wallet type app?

Every app I have seen like that requires user interaction (like a PIN) to be entered before an account can be charged.

couldnt they just replicate the technology in the card machine to set an amount and take it from your unattended card?

Even on the card machines where you are using your phone to pay you still have to enter a PIN. It is just as safe as carrying and using a debit card.

Yes but that's when your paying with your phone that u have the safety of putting a pin in. This is about people using the phone to take the money, using it as a card machine essentially where you just need to swipe over a card.
