NFL Mobile Live is OUT for the Droid!

HECK YA. When I heard they were getting this I was pumped. It was the ONLY reason I would think about Sprint before....OK maybe their prices, BUT cool.
 
This will be the coolest thing EVER for football fans (LIKE ME!!!) Ahhh I can't wait for the season to start!! I'm going to stream games and just everything!! I'd pay $15 for this!! This is awesome!!

Agreed it is something I would pay for too! I think the initial download period it is free, but sometime after the season starts it will cost, read it in the release info.
 
I have it installed. Very cool of Verizon to make it free until 1/1/11! Only bummer is (possibly, not confirmed yet) I thought we would get the RedZone Channel live, but all it says on the sheet is "Red Zone Video". Still, this app is freaking awesome!
 
Just downloaded. Gotta say, this looks quite promising. About time the Droid gets something cool like this. I really wished they had the March Madness app on the Droid, my Ipod co-workers got to sit and watch the games while at work, where I couldn't. :( But this looks pretty awesome!

I agree with March Madness, but with it being full AT&T sponsorship, I knew it would never happen. I installed last night, a look forward to seeing what power we will have.
 
No, download it from Droid Life (the APK file). You do have to make sure you have "Unkown Sources" checked off in Settings -> Applications
 
Someone in the NFL Mobile app thread in the App forum suggested in might have to do with being in an Altell area. Maybe when the app is released on the market it will fix the issue...
 
Oh, this totally freakin' ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know what to tell you guys, regarding the errors on install. I'm sitting 1/2 mile from an ex-Alltel tower, and mine installed and worked just fine. :confused:

From what i read this is the problem. Anyone know how to change this. Im running CM .7


I figured out the "only for Verizon customers" bug, for me anyway. I had a custom name via pulldown editor. On a hunch, I opened up pulldown editor and changed that back to Verizon Wireless, applied, rebooted and sure enough, NFL worked.
If you have Ultimate Droid, you'll have to do the same thing, to change it from "Ultimate Droid" to "Verizon Wireless".
This sucks, because I really liked having my name in there rather than Verizon's branding. Hopefully someone will think up a work-around
 
So, the download is free but the service (watching games, getting info, etc) will not be free, right? The NFL doesn't give ANYTHING away for free.
 
I've been checking it out for about 20 min now and it works great. I turned NFL network on my TV and the NFL mobile app at the same time and there was less than a 2 second delay on mobile. Love this app!!!
