Help No 2.3.4 Update for Verizon ):

Verizon told me they have NO information on this...still waiting on se's response. Verizon's 2.3.3 is still missing features other versions have. I'm almost done with this carrier.

I am with you on that one. We are missing HD video recording among a few other things.
 
I talked to verizon awhile ago. They told me they release the update in stages so a ton of people aren't clogging their network trying to get it. He said it might be a month or so just to keep an eye out on the notification bar.
 
The thing is...we are still missing the latest features of 2.3.3. Maybe the one we MIGHT get in a month (or 3) will take us to ICS ......... LOL. I'm not holding my breath .... thinking about just rooting and getting rid of all of the bloatware.
See that's what I'm afraid of....we wait and wait and wait....then BOOM!!!! here comes Verizon's version of 2.3.4 with they're crapware and missing features.
Personally I think it takes them longer because they like to add junk apps that you cannot remove and remove features that other versions get...hoping to eat those words but.....

Don't get me wrong. I love the Play for its hardware and have used VZW's service for many years but I'm really getting fed up with the way this r800x performs compared to all other versions....I mean it's hard to "flood the market" when nobody's getting it.

This includes the Xperia arc and arc S, Xperia Play, Xperia neo and neo V, Xperia mini and mini pro, Xperia pro, Xperia active, and Xperia ray. Sony Ericsson said that it is working to merge the features of its Xperia software with those of Android 4.0, and will have more information on the availability of the system updates at a later time."

Quit worrying...You're being silly. :)
