Help No Android Market on phone. No root

So I don't know when this happened, but my sister just noticed her DINC2 doesn't have the Market app on her phone. She isn't rooted, so it hasn't been modded. It's just a pure stock phone with no Android Market. Does anyone have the .apk or any ideas how to fix this?

I tried installing it via the Market on my laptop, but Google says that the market isn't compatible with her device (what??!?!).

My best guess is to get the .apk, and put it on her SD card. If she doesn't have a file browser, she could install ASTRO via the laptop Market website, then install it. Is this doable?

The market app from the Android Market Website is for tablets. Your only option might be to get a copy of the .apk file like you said.
