Root no boot sound

alright, ive already searched for the thread, and have changed my poweron files in both media and sounds? well the other file that power on is in, where the verizon powerdown file is.

first when updated to zvd it happened, then after trying and trying to no prevail, i cant get anything to play when my bootanimation is going. anyone have this problem and find the solution, ive made sure it was metropcs_poweron.mp3, capitols and all, to the "t".

if you have had this problem, please let me know the secret sauce to type in or if im putting them in a different file.

just a basic root with the zvd speed stockish kernal that was just recently posted. not cm7, i cant remember the root

make sure ur boot up sound is mp3 compatible
 
both stock metro and my boot sounds are .mp3, yet even the stocker wont play..... how would i enable the boot sounds if the system has it disabled? or better yet, could i enable it?

yeah its do-able, probly a bin file.. i had an issue related to bout sound with zvb, replaced bin folder with stock and poof started working lol

installed zip from recovery and rebooted, still no sound.... wtf.... like i said, it started before i rooted my esteem, after updating zvd, if that helps at all. i wonder if its just my phone though

k ill dig a lil deeper into it when i get a chance :D
 
makes no since why people want the start up sound for it would be ok it there was a setting in settings to disabled it or enabled it cause there's times when you don't want it to make a sound lol
 
tamiya rc car, 1/10 scale, shaft driven 4 wheel drive. i got one that im rebuilding with pvc tires for drift, gotta find a body, but im undecided on make and model. with rubber tires, its just plain silly fast for its size. castle 3800kv 4 pole motor, dynamite fuze esc, bunch of 2s and 3s lipos, hitec 645mg servo, clocked at 41mph on 2s, 7.4v XD, my main hobby besides mountain biking with shitty wally world brands

grrr. cant seem to find anything. been digging through rootexplorer, looking at all files and types, same with my ascend, and my friends esteem (doesnt know i rooted it, yet, and he still is on zvb) to see if theres a .bin or something else to go along the lines of a command or prompt to start boot sound... if i find anything, ill report here
 
Well i have the same problem i tried somethings but its still no boot sound. I was told it can be fixed from any cut app . Was all smiles but hey do you know which setting it is .. Hehehehe foh this clown hasnt said nothing back. So i am along with you do anyone have a clue on how to restore the boot sound that was lost during the rooting. I tried blending thats taking a zvb and a zvc back up . It had the sound but how can i get this back on my zvd ..
So i see i am not alone and wonder if its another update lets call it zve
 
What if this is some real kick some rocks bullshit,dam i been at this all day its the kernels.take a kernel that has boot sound to it. Flash that kernel and shut down and reboot ...... Dam if i didnt have a brain ........
 
running the plague extreme kernel (zvb/c)..... still no boot sound, flashed back to the minfre zvd, still no sound, so back to the plague..... ooh, "the black plague" kick arse title to something.....
 
someone want to load me a copy of a zvb/c system/.bin file/commands? and a directory :)
