Help No Built in Video Calling?

I've been reading alot about built in video calling for the galaxy s2 but i do not see it anywhere on my AT&T version of the phone. Is it only for firmware 2.3.5 and above? Or is it specifically left out for AT&T because they are asses? Are there alternatives or a way to activate the built in video calling?

Looks like it is not AT&T that is the ass!:p

It is there, you just need to do your homework!

guess so. I thought i would be able to see the option when calling people from my contacts. Does it only work with people who have google talk or only with other galaxy s2's?

the gs2 in itself does not support video chat. You need to use either gtalk or one of the other apps on the market, like skype, oovoo, tango, just to name a few.

The preinstalled (on at&t anyway) qik app will call from contact as long as the other person has it set up also. I call my wife on my old 4.

I have tested almost all the video chat apps. I find that Skype is still the best overall, even with low service it still works pretty well. oovoo is terrible with low service areas and on the GS2, the video appears upside down (obvious bug in the software). Qik is just 'okay'. I found that on wifi it'll work really well but on 3g, the audio can sometimes get garbled and fall out of sync with the video (more so than the other apps). Tango was pretty good, probably #2 on my list.

I cant remember the other apps I tried.
