Help No calendar option in action memo

Yes you can, instead of "add task" go for "add event" after the action memo option "Link to action" - "Task"

Hi,
Thanks for the reply...I have the same question/comment as the OP.

I read your reply but I still don't see how you can add it as a "Calendar Event". I am in real estate and I set appointments on my Google Calendar (which is synced) and this is my most needed action that the Note 3 should do.

I have searched YouTube and I have yet to see anyone demo that you can use "Calendar". I don't understand why it isn't one of the choices.

I may have to look for an app that will do this.

Can you explain this in more detail please?

I agree, I don't think it can be done.

I would love to be proven wrong.

I understand what both of you want, as it's something that I used on my Note 2 quite often.

After you've written your information on the action memo, select the "Link to action" button at the top of the memo. It will gather the information and put it into "tasks".

Problem is, it enters every entry on a separate line, for a separate task. And I still haven't found a way to link the entire memo directly to a calendar event. Seems like they took that away from S-Note also. This was truly disappointing. If someone else figures out how to do this, please post up the info.

It's a workaround, better to go direct to the s planner safe time :)

Don't forgot to copy/paste the text in the title bar, from "add task" to "add event" gives a empty title bar in section "add event"

It is definitely not there yet:

1) There is no Event icon on the choice bar
2) It can't carry over the same text from the Task title into the Add Event title even though they're parallel tabs. You have to copy/paste.
3) You can't write a three line entry

Event
date
hour begin - hour end

ie

Swim Class
Oct 22
7-8pm

and have it entered into your calendar.
And yes, this means you'll want to select default date formats for mm/dd/yy and dd/mm/yy as well as MMM dd

It can handle multiple line entry for Contact entries, so not sure why no multi-line Event entries.

Yeah, this is somewhat of a step backward it seems. On the Note 2, I could write down an entire note and then add it as a calendar event. Granted, it would add it as an "attachment," but that was still much better than this.

As you mentioned, writing on different lines splits all the information up as separate tasks per line. That doesn't make any sense to me at all. On a note that small, who the heck writes the entire note on 1 line?

Especially if someone is dictating information to you on a place, time and event details.

Now, the one cool thing that can be done is, the action memo minimization. That gives you the floating note, minimized, and allows for copy and paste into calendar, but seems like they could've made it work easier.
