Help No Computer internet when phone is plugged in

Hey there!

When I plug in my phone into my computer I get no internet access on my computer.
Then I plug out my phone, reset my Jensen AL25150 Internet Adapter, and the internet works again.
Because of this, I can't update my phone to 2.1.
If it helps, I'm running Windows Vista SP2 and Android 1.6 (Donut). Rooted using Universal Androot.

Maybe, just maybe, your PC thinks the phone is a modem, and it Changes the device to access the internet from your Modem to the phone

Hm, I'll try disabling the LG Modem; see what happens then.

Not Really off, you put it into download mode.

Never mind; got it to work. Upgraded to 2.1, disabled modem and everything is working again.
