No connection on Cm10

All most every time I update to a newer version of cm10 I don't have a carrier. I am unable to text/call, I have tried to restart my phone but still nothing. Then I have to re flash a older version of cm10 to be able to text/call again. Any suggestions?

Are you wiping everything and doing a clean install? That may be what you have to do. Also, have you checked your APN info to see that is correct?
 
I have not been wiping my data, I don't believe you have to since it's just an update. My APN is correct but is it possible that my APN could be deleted after updating(I didn't check my APN when I updated, I went straight to flashing the older version)

No, you don't have to do a clean install, wipe everything, when flashing a nightly, just cache and dalvik. However, sometimes you need to when things aren't working.

I've had similar problem with no APN or data when flashing CM nightlies. Sometimes a reboot would fix it. A few times I had to do a clean install to get everything working right.
