Help No contacts names nor pictures in SMS

Hi All,

A friend got a Sensation XE and has a problem, he called on me and i couldn't get it working. All his contacts (455) are Google contacts, none are sim/phone.

In messages (SMS) it shows the number, not the name and no picture. Yet that person is a contact and you can click it to view it. Half of the messages had names, the other half just +44...... numbers.

So the guy does not know who the messages are from! How do i fix this for him?

- Open contacts
- Press the "menu" key at bottom of phone
- Press the "view" button
- Make sure there is a check mark next to the Google contacts?

That just allows you to see the Google Contacts in Contacts, not really to do with Messages. If that was not ticked there would be no one in the contacts book.
