Help No Data at all (NYC)

Yesterday I put my phone into airplane mode by holding the power button when I got on the subway. My girlfriend took it off airplane mode by going through settings. Since that time I have not had any data, no LTE, no 3G, no 1X, just cell bars. I have restarted the phone using restart. I have turned it off and back on again. I have turned it off and pulled the battery. I have pulled the battery when it was on. I have gone into settings and turned network stuff on and off. I have used phone info and switched LTE on and off. I can't think of anything else but to go to a verizon store.

When I open up google maps the phone can't find me (I have GPS off). Usually I can at least get a general idea where I am on google maps, but nothing now.

Anyone have any suggestions, short o going to verizon, which is on my list today. I know the LTE network is not down.

Have you tried putting it BACK into airplane mode, then taking it back off?

Honestly, I have no idea...you did all the things I was going to suggest, lol.

For some odd reason, I have found that the only fix for when my tbolt acts like that is to take out and re-seat my sim card. I have no idea why it works, but it does - for me.

Mine started doing this yesterday. same thing, suddenly no data connection on 3G. As soon as I get a 4G connection it comes back. This is on top of the 4 a day random reboots

The solution is not to just switch to 3G all the time. I bought this damn phone for 2 reasons:

1. Larger screen
2. 4G

I guess when the iphone 5 comes out its back to an iphone

Happened to me recently as well. Not sure what set it off but the fix for me might have been a factory reset. I say that because even after doing that, it still did not work. I had a phone sent out to me to replace it but i decided to send it right back after I read horror stories about Verizon's replacement phone program. I'll just wait for a good OTA update. Also, I sent it back because after traveling about an hour away from home, my data came back and has been on since. Not sure what exactly did it but it might have something to do with the factory reset or maybe I could have just waited a day or so more. Btw, there was no network outages in my area at the time of my data failure.

Also, I tried everything to get data working prior to the reset, nothing worked. FYI, Wifi worked fine through all this...
