I have no idea if this is what the OP is experiencing, but I've found that on occasion Big Red's data lets me down in certain parts of town.

Sorry about that. No data on 3g or 4g.
Called CS and they refreshed my connection to there
Network. Worked.
CS said this is a ongoing problem, and they have told Samsung about the issue.
