Wow - I have no idea what is happening but I currently have no desktop on my Xoom. After a reboot I just have a black screen.
I do have the bottom bar with the home and back buttons and if an email comes in I get a notification and i can open the email app and read the email. From that I can open a browser link and read the web. In fact I am typing this message from the Xoom.
But if I back out I'll still just have a black screen with no desktop. I have rebooted 4 times with the same results. Once I even did a force reboot in the hopes maybe that did something different. Nope.
What I noticed happen was I was holding the Xoom in my lap in standby having finished reading email about 10 minutes before. All of the sudden the Xoom rebooted on its own. Upon restarting I had the blank screen.
One other note I wonder about: I recently installed the ADWLauncher EX which I got from the market on sale for 10 cents. This may be the first reboot since that install. Not sure if it is related. I would try to uninstall it but I cant figure out how to find the settings with it in this state. I don't have the top bar.
Any ideas?
