Help No E-Mail without WiFi?

I ahve no problem sending and reciving e-mail when conencted to WiFi at work or at home but when I dont have a connection I cannot send and receive e-mails with K9 on my HTC Desire HD! Internet works just fine but no e-mail! Any ideas please?

Its a GMail account. no I havent tried setting it back up but will . Thanks for suggestion!

I'd the same issue with K9 and my Gmail account last week. WiFi it functioned as normal, over 3G, I couldn't send receive.

I just removed the account, then re added and it worked no problem.

Worth a try although I WILL be kicking myself if it is something so simple LOL!

Are you using POP3 or IMAP?

I've just had a look through some of the settings on mine, and I can't see much that I think would do anything.

Try Menu -> More -> Settings -> Global Settings -> Network -> What is background Sync set to when you're using 3G?
