Help No Email Notification (White Envelope)

[NewToTheEvo]

Hello All:
I bought my Sprint HTC Evo 4G in December and everything was working fine until just recently when I stopped getting email notifications in the notification bar. I have my gmail account and my hotmail account on my phone. If an email comes to my gmail, I get the alert, but that doesn't happen when I get something in my hotmail. A white envelope used to come up, but now it doesn't. Why might that be??? Thx in advance!!

Do you have notification turned on in the Mail app settings?

Yup....All three boxes are checked. I don't understand how it could just stop working.

Have you checked your notification setting and/or tried deleting your hotmail account and re entering it?

I've checked my notification settings, but I hadn't thought about deleting the account and reinstalling it. I'll try that.
