No email notification

Hello all. I an using a non-rooted EVO and I have been paying close attention to my email notifications. I get the sound and the envelope in the upper corner (using TouchDown, Gmail and Hotmail) but once my screen goes black, I go no visual notification.
For SMS, I am using SMS Popup. This is not something I want to return the phone for but would love a work around if anyone has an suggestions.

in all your apps that get messages.. there is a way to turn off or on the notifications: sound and blinking..

just look in each app... you use.
press "menu" and look for setup.. and notifications
 
dan330 - thanks for the reply. Already tried that. What I am looking for is something to display on the screen or blink on/off when I have an email.

email popup. though i haven't tried it and it's only got 3 stars

i use gmail undread count for gmail.
 
mrvirginia - thanks for the reply. Email Popup is exactly what I am looking for except that it on works with K-9 mail. But thanks again!
 
So far, this is the only thing I like better about the Pre. The Pre had a led on the bottom of the phone that would blink letting you know there was either a call, SMS or email missed. Thanks again!
