So I've been running CTmod 3.68 with beats audio drivers installed from the Google Play store. I used to be able to use the EQ on my phone up until today. The EQ app will no longer open and says there are other audio effects running on my phone (beats drivers) and the EQ app is disabled. Why would I be able to use the EQ with beats installed all this time, but all of the sudden I can't? And is there a way to un-install beats audio drivers from my Marquee? Because honestly I'd rather have my 5 band EQ back so I can fine tune my sound the way I like it. I've tried several different EQ apps and they all FC as of today for some reason. Any insight would be appreciated.

Post 17 helped me out a ton. I hear you on the 5 band EQ, though I would rather have a 7 band....
Yeah i've flashed that one today. I read that post, and my EQ app still FC's. So idk what the hell is going on lol. I really enjoy using my phone for music/spotify while in my car and at home. I really don't want to do a fresh install, because i have my phone set up the way I like it, but it's looking that way

That's weird. That link I posted worked for me along with quite a few others too when we installed the EQ app. You're the second person that has mentioned it not working on their phone. I wonder what's up? It's possible that the EQ app has been updated and is now incompatible.

Some people say the Beats app doesn't add anything you could with an EQ anyway. Which it does feel like a glorified graphic EQ to me at times without the audio chipset it comes with on some phones. I'm not sure how to remove it without a fresh install though, you can backup all of your apps with Titanium and if you use a launcher like ADW, can make a backup point of everything on your desktop. Great things for someone who wants to flash different roms often.

Yeah I still have it on my phone and it is working fine with my EQ at the moment, but I haven't reflashed it since then either so it may have been updated.

Yeah, I don't run Beats anymore. I just use Player Pro. It comes with it's own DSP pack and sounds great. Back when I tried Beats with my Prevail, I learned that the easiest way to get rid of it is to just make a Titanium backup, flash a CWM backup and then restore the apps via Titanium. Like you mentioned, the restore feature on ADW is nice too. It only takes a few minutes to get everything back to the way it was, minus Beats.
Yeah i'm just going to have to do a backup of my apps and backup Go Launcher and do a fresh install, even though I really don't want to. But I can't get beats to go away. I used to be able to use my EQ while i had beats installed, but for some reason today all of the sudden, the EQ app won't work. Any of the EQ apps from the market won't work. Not even Volume+. They all just FC. But yeah, beats sucks. I'd much rather have my graphic EQ back anyway. Thanks Guys!

Lol, it's a pain in the ass to get rid of. No simple way that I know of to remove it.
