No Facebook Places Update?

Anyone have word on this? I know it's already out for the iPhone.

I'd be surprised if the Facebook for Android update is that far off. Erick Tseng, who used to be one of the top guys at Google, in charge of Android, is head of Facebook's Mobile strategy.

maybe its only for 2.2, a friend of mine with a droid said it showed up on her facebook app the other day. *shrug* I'll stick to foursquare

I have FB for Android on my Captivate. Is that what your talking about?

he is talking about the Places update that the 'other' phone got. Places is available through the mobile browser so I would hope that it will come to Android soon.

Yeah I got the update on my iPhone the other day and checked my Captivate and saw there was an update, DL'd it and it still doesn't have Places on the FB app. Kinda weak.
