Help No Flash 10.1 on Viewsonic ViewPad 7?

I'm confused! On Amazon the Viewsonic ViewPad 7 says that it "Operates with Android 2.2 OS", but it also says that it "does not support Adobe Flash 10.1." Huh? I'm not a tech wiz, but I thought anything with 2.2 could run Flash 10.1. Any thoughts?

Viewsonic probably learned from their mistake when they advertised Flash on their Gtablet series. I bet it doesn't officially support Adobe flash since this device like the gtablet is not yet approved by Adobe. They are working on getting the official flash 10.1 support for the gtablet so I would assume they are going to do the same for the Viewpad.

I thought the GTab had 10.1?

So right now I can't get flash 10.1 no matter what - even if I root? Bummer.

The Gtab has 10.1, it's available thru Viewsonic's website but technically it's not official. Maybe it'll work with the viewpad.

I installed flash 10.2 for my CSL MI700 (same hardware as viewpad 7), first I installed applanet application, then I installed flash 10.2 from there. Then I used root explorer to copy the file to system/app, change the permission for the flash apk, reboot...and I got the flash 10.2 on my device.

Yeah, but have you tried to use a browser? I'd be shocked if your browser isn't FCing on pages with flash.

Skyfire works in terms of playing videos and such, but you still can't do things like play flash based games.
