Help No handwriting recognition

Guys please help I am getting crazy!!
I got in a job and asked to get a note 2 for my work phone and they agreed. I loved it so when I eventually quit, I went and bought one myself.
On the one I had a the job, I added the French language to the Samsung keyboard and it worked perfectly both as keyboard and handwriting recognition
Now on the one I bought, I added the French as well but it will only work as the keyboard and not as handwriting recognition.
Simply when I slide between the languages on the space bar, all are there (I use 3) when on regular keyboard, but only 2 (without French) on the handwriting pad and I know it should be there because it was on my previous phone from the job.
I tried everything, I updated to latest Jelly bean version, nothing helps.
Is there a possibility to make an update of the handwriting feature?
Any idea?

Thanks!

Did you check to make sure you have French installed & enabled in your settings?

Go into your Settings > Language & input > tap on the settings icon next to Samsung keyboard > Handwriting > Input languages

Hi, thanks for helping

Yes, I did add the language, that's the problem, I have 3 languages, all three are available in the keyboard, but only 2 in the handwriting pad.
It is like French is not supported for the handwriting, but I know it is because I had it in my previous galaxy note 2

Any idea?

I just tried on my Note 2 and it recognizes French (Canadian) without any issues. I am able to write letters with accents without any issues.

Also installed Spanish and French (France) to see and letters with accents are also recognized in handwriting recognition. Not sure why your Note 2 does not.

Did you try selecting French only with no other languages selected and see if it works?
