Help No Internet Access?

I have my phone set to my home wifi and for whatever reason it is poorly working...will have to call about that. however, with my blackberry i never saw this error "no internet acces". It would switch from wifi to bell/phone service.

Did i set something wrong?

I'm not an S2 user, so your in the right place if it is a phone specific thing.:) I have seen this behavior in different Android phones:(. Turning WIFI off on the phone will force it to use your carrier data.

I think when android is connected to WIFI, it will use that for data no matter how crappy the connection. This is probably by design as not everyone has unlimited data.

Bummer...with everything this phone does do im surpised there isnt an option for it to auto switch if no wifi access is avail....understand why it wouldnt be default though.

Thank you for your reply :)

If you are connected to your wifi it will take priority.
Whenever you come into range of any remembered wifi (eg. Home, work etc) it will automatically reconnect itself and use that wifi connection.
If no remembered connection is in range, it will automatically use 3g data.

So basically, bc i am in a remembered wifi area, even if the connection drops it will still use that connection bc i have it set as priority? I would have to manually disconnect my wifi?

I never had that issue with my bb :(

No, not really. If the wifi signal becomes weak or drops off, your phone should switch to 3G data. When the wifi signal becomes available, it should jump back to wifi. If you leave wifi on, remembered wifi connections will always take priority. You can turn off the auto connect feature for remembered networks in menu>settings>wireless & networks>wifi settings. Tap on the network and turn auto connect off (or on, depending on how it's set.)
