Help no keyboard tap sound

All my volumes are on but there is no sound being produced from the keyboard. Stock. Why? ??
Am I missing something here? Does the stock keyboard have sound functionality? I hear sounds when using the pen to write (write to text), but when using the regular tap method no sound is produced. ..

Yes it makes a click sound when you type (just tried it with my finger). Make sure Keytones is turned on

Menu --> Settings --> Sound --> Keytones [X]

If it is checked, then something is wrong and you may need to do a factory reset
