Have you tried actually Ringing Network 3 and asking them to activate MMS on your account.
Thats what I had to do when i was with them Years ago , apparently MMS is off by default. So you could have the right APN but its not sorted at Network Level.
An MMS is a Picture Message, right? I've sent one successfully. I'm using a 3 PAYG SIM that had never been used before. The APN settings appeared automatically when I first put the SIM in. I haven't changed anything. There are 2 APNs: once called "3 Services" which I assume is used for phone and internet; the other is called "3MMS". The entries are:
Name: 3MMS
APN: three.co.uk
MMSC: http://mms.um.three.co.uk:10021/mmsc
MMS proxy: 217.171.129.2
MMS port: 8799
MMS protocol: WAP 2.0
MCC: 234
MNC: 20
APN type: mms
If you are getting something like "unable to download" message - it turned out that I turned off "mobile network" and any mms I receive will fail to be downloaded for some reason.
If thats the message you getting, simply enable "mobile network" and try again. It worked for me, but not sure why!
