Help No Mobile network after 2.2 upgrade

I've just upgraded to 2.2 and now I can't get a Mobile connection. It just says "Turning on..." but never does. Anyone else have this problem?

i would reset to factory defaults but ul lose all your apps and it might not work.

I heard about someone with a similar error.
I agree, restore to factory settings, but beofre you do that, save off your contacts, downloads etc...
After that, run an update again.

There is a repair install as well (I think), not sure how to access it.

Well I restored to factory settings, after which the Mobile network was working fine. But now having restored all my settings and apps (with MyBackup Pro) I find it is no longer working again. I'm not sure at what point it stopped working.

Didn't need to run the update again, restoring to factory settings gives me a clean 2.2. phone.

Personally I would restore back to factory settings again and then install any of the programs again from scratch.
Then import my contacts again.

but before you do that you could try clearing the cache and data from all the apps you restored.

Yes in fact I have now already done exactly that, this time I didn't use MyBackup Pro to restore any of the settings things (screens etc), just basics like text messages etc. Then I re-installed my apps from scratch. So far it is all working fine. I wonder if it was something in the settings that MyBackup Pro restored that screwed things up.
