NO MORE FREE Tethering

Just tried it... have the phone setup as WIFI tethering. Then have a computer connected to it. Then the browser shows a Tmobile page saying

"Your current data plan does not support tethering your phone to another device for Internet access. Please have your primary account holder call Customer Care, 1-800-937-8997"

Then on the right side, it shows "Phone Tethering & WIFI Sharing" for $14.99 per month!

OH NO!!!

Looks like Tmo is preparing for the "AT&T-mobile" merge..

Just tried. There isn't a MMS Type setting. But do exactly what suggeste. Still redirect to tmo upsell page.

Okay I did not read thbrought the whole thread but I see that you guys figured out that you need to be rooted. Once rooted just remove tethering manager from titaium backup pro app and all is good. I use my SGS2 to tether all the time getting speeds of 30+ mbps!!!! And no extra charges. Sorry if you guys figured it all out already I dont have time to go throught the whole thread.

I finally rooted the phone and get rid of tmo tethering manager. yay!
