No more wakeup lag on my SGSII!

Since day one my Galaxy s2 had the notorious wakeup lag- it would take 1.5 secs or so for the screen to turn on after pressing the home or power button.
I don't know how many people have it, but it sounds pretty widespread, and both stock and rooted phones with different roms suffer from this little problem.

Yesterday I was forced to do a hard reset because my phone went crazy after a certain game ("destroy Gunners" free version) froze...

the fact that my Go launcher settings weren't backed up and I had to tweak it all over again, and the fact that I lost all my Gameloft games, kinda sucked, but the compensation is that the lag dissapeared.

It worked for me, it might work for you, although I'd think someone would have already figured it out...

It was fixed for me after updating to 2.3.4!

I gotta say that although my SGS2 has wake up lag it's pretty small so I've just got used to it.

When they roll out 2.3.4 I'll see if it improves...

I thought it was common knowledge that high resolution wallpapers are what cause the lag.

None of the default wallpapers cause it.

I use widget locker anyway and there doesn't seem to be a lag with that.

wallpaper or lock screen? I tried using a default wallpaper but there wasn't any diff.might try a lower resolution lock screen when I get home

I'm not using TouchWiz atm so can't remember if there's an option for different home screen and lock screen wallpapers, but if there is I guess it would be the lock screen one.

I read about the startup lag before I got the phone so it was one of the first things I checked, and none of the default wallpapers seem to cause any lag for me.
