Help No navigation

I'm sorry if this gas been covered elsewhere, but I've been unable to find an answer.
I'm in Northern Ca, and just discovered that my Google navigation isn't working. No matter where I am in town, I cannot get a fix on my location. When trying to use navigator, I get the "searching for gps" message. The little dish with the blinking green lines shows up, but it will hang forever on the searching message.
I tried putting it into airplane mode and using gps test ad suggested in another thread, but no luck.
Anyone else having this issue or have a fix?

Thanks , A

Yes, I had the same issue right after updating to Gingerbread. I was on the phone with tech support several times over the next month. Eventually the transferred me to an HTC rep who told me I'd have to mail them my phone for repair and do without for the next 2-3 weeks. I called Verizon again and told them that was unacceptable and they FINALLY sent me a replacement. Good luck.

Thanks for the reply. I decided to just leave it for a few days and guess what? Nav. is working again. I didn't do anything except send an issue report to Google. They emailed me back saying it was not any easy fix but would notify me of any progress. No email, but since it's alive and well again I'm a happy camper.
