Root No notification sound on Simply Stunning 5.01

As I've said in my past posts, I love SS 5.1. It runs extremely fast, smooth and battery efficant. But today I noticed that, while it will ring for phone calls, I have no sound for text messages. I'm using Handcent SMS as my SMS app, but even when I tried the Android Message it still didn't work. I have no clue as to why this is happening. Any ideas?

Have you tried changing your notification tone? Most of (actually all of) the current GB ROMs don't have the Droid notification tone. The one that goes DDDRRROOOIIIDDD in a robot like voice. If you can verify that that file is not in your list of notification tones, let me know. I will link you to the file that I ripped from a Froyo ROM. Then you can just use a file explorer with permissions and copy the file to the system folder.

Oh, and if that is the case, the problem lies in the fact that you have your notification set up to use the Droid file, but it doesn't exist. Therefore, not file is used.
