No OTA Update?

Ok, so basically I've got the DHD on Vodafone Australia, it's on 1.32.178.5, and I have heard things about an OTA update to 1.72 or something? When I go to check for software updates I find nothing!

Do I have to wait for Vodafone to update it? If so, that's lame

If there's another way for me to get the new update? Or would I have to install a custom ROM (don't really want to do this).

I think that that update has been pulled by HTC, but I don't know whether you will get or not.

You'll need to speak to your carrier and find out when they're going to release it to you. I haven't noticed anything change on the update that's helped me, so I wouldn't worry too much about it buddy.

looks like am not the only one with this problem,i was afraid tha its a phone problem...there is no another expl.exept that the update is removed.but we need to test this theory,if anyone have v.1.32 and can see the update please tell us about it...

My phone is unlocked in Indonesia. I see no sign of the update either. But then I'm only interested in it if it improves battery performance.

I just bought my Desire HD (unlocked) and it shipped with 1.32.405.6 and when I check for updates I get "Your phone is up to date".
If it is unlocked then the carrier has nothing to do with it, right?

Right. BUT in this case the update was buggy so it was pulled by HTC. If you have downloaded it already then you will have it installed (as I have - with no noticeable problems I might add) BUT if you hadn't downloaded it before it was pulled you will no longer be able to. You will need to wait for HTC to release their next update.

It will come when HTC put out the update again. You will probably get it when everyone else does.
