no paid apps in Irish market ???

It turns out there are no paid apps available in certain countrys

this works on the sim card in the phone

anyone know of a way to get around this ... without me getting a UK sim card?

It makes NO sense - I "want" to pay for the apps???

When the phone can be rooted, you can get a market enabler, allowing you to but paid apps. The root guide should be available at end of next week. In the meantime you can try a different market app, try SlideME | Android Community and Application Marketplace.

You can also contact the makers of the app you want to buy directly and they will usually sort out something for you.
