No phone?

I just purchased 2 refurbished Galaxy tabs for $69.99 each from Verizon. They are having a great sale. My question is is there a way to use these as phones? I saw them used as phones on Youtube but I do not see the phone app on the tablet? I know they would look like something from the late 70's held up to your head but I wanted that capability (just in case I needed it). Any assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated.

is yours a wifi only tab?
look for the phone icon, tap to open it and a keypad should appear and use it like any other phone.. but it looks better if you use a bluetooth headset..

The tablets on Verizon cannot be used as phone. That functionality isn't in the software.
