No rumblings of an update yet?

Ok, I've updated to 4.0.4 (complete update, not just radios/bootloader), yet I still show HW version 9? My radios and everything else updated just fine. Any suggestions, Suxor? Anyone?

I know it probably makes no difference whatsoever, but I'm anal about these kinds of things.

I'm not sure I understand, you updated the software of your phone and you expected that to change the hardware version of your phone?

If you have a radio chip that is version 9.
It will always be version 9. You can only flash it with new software.

Some peeps have the newer radio chip that was added to the Nexus in January,
Which is version 10.

Updating the SW will never update the HW. HW version will stay the same forever.

I wouldn't worry to much, though. HW versions change for the most minor of things, so there likely isn't much difference with 10 from 9.

Well considering when I was on 4.0.1 the boot loader read HW ver. 8 then it changed to 9 once I upgraded to 4.0.2, it didn't seem unreasonable. I'm also still showing i515.09 under Radio base bands in the about settings menu whereas others are showing i515.10.

I even completely downgraded to 4.0.1 today, and confirmed it showed vers. 8 on that ROM. If it makes no difference than no big deal, though I'm not seeing the improved signal others are reporting, so I thought something was screwed up with my install.

Thanks for the responses though.
