Help No SD card? What are my options for transferring phone pics?

Coming over from the DINC and just starting to think about how I'm going to get the pics on my DINC to the GNex with no SD card.

Sorry might be a bush league question but would like everyone's opinion on best options.

Thanks in advance!

The easiest / fastest answer is USB cable & PC. However, you have some over the air options as well.

...but (not to bag on you), the question kind of comes across the same as, "How do I get my old pictures off of my old camera and put them on my new camera?" which begs the question, do you do anything with your pics other than look at them on your phone? Occasional upload/backup to PC? Facebook? Picasa? Shutterfly? Flikr? Just curious, and again, not trying to pick a fight as to how you use your phone or how you choose to view your pics.

You could use services like Dropbox to sync files wirelessly between your devices, but the above answer is the easiest - plug your Inc. into your PC, transfer photos to the PC, then plug the Nexus in and transfer the files over.

It's a valid question, of course, but I think phones have become not only like cameras to take the picture, but also a primary mechanism for storing and displaying. You share the picture through the phone's internal mechanism, and it primarily resides on your phone all the time.

These things should always be backed up, of course, but it's different from a camera where that was only a way to capture, and no place to share. A phone is a mini-computer, since it can be storage/sharing/display, so it's like saying, "how do I get my pictures off my old computer and on to my new one."

Gotcha, ok, yeah...

Gotta say that even with my laggy BlackBerry 3G I rely primarily on Facebook as a mechanism to store and sort / organize photos, even when using the phone as my "photobook" to show off to others.

- Mainly because the photos I take with my phone are all lumped into one unorganized directory
- But also because I might take a dozen photos of something to capture that "keeper," and that's the one I'll upload and want to share
- Also because I include photos taken by my "real" cameras, as well as photos taken by others
- And lastly because I want to make sure there's a backup

...and that's ignoring all the other services out there. BUT you're right, especially with these gorgeous, big, high-res screens, who wouldn't want to have their photos on their device?

But I'm **really** looking forward to 4G speeds, more up-to-date & fluid photo viewing apps, and the big screen to improve this increasingly important aspect of my current phone.

Google+ has a pretty cool option to automatically upload all photos taken on your phone to a private album, meaning they're always backed up but still private, and you can share them at will.

I just used Windows Media Player to transfer my old pictures from my GS2 to my GN. Really annoying they got rid of mass storage mode! :@

Easiest way is to upload them to picasa, then when you add your gmail account to you Galaxy Nexus they will automatically sync to your phone's gallery.
