Root No Service after root

I finally just successfully rooted my Optimus MS690 the hard way with LGNPST and got the custom recovery going and everything, but now I don't have service and I'm having trouble activating it, can anyone help? I'm pretty newb at this sort of thing; I'd greatly appreciate your help

Check over in the All Things Root sub-forum because I think this has been covered before. Can I ask why you did it that way instead of the one click methods?

Yeah I'm pretty sure I'm just gonna have to take it to the MetroPCS store; hopefully they don't get all stingy about it being rooted. And I did it the long way because I just did a Google search and there it was. It was before I knew about this website

I did the SAME exact thing and I went to 4 different metro stores and they wouldnt replace my phone cuz it was rooted. So I had to go out and spend more money on the same phone. They took my phone in the back room and looked at it and found out that it was rooted. The manager said that if LG were to find out that I had rooted their device, I would have went to prison. So I waited a full month freaking out scared because I really wanted my phone rooted, so what I did was did more research and found this website and saw the one click method and it quickly rooted my phone. Now I'm happy :)

That is so far from the truth! Congress ruled on the issue of rooting an Android phone and you are completely authorized to do whatever you want with your phone since it is your property. The only thing that the manufacturer can do is void your warranty. If Metro sees that it is rooted, they will not do anything to help you. I suggest trying to fix it yourself first.

oh & btw, heres a link that will help with your solution.
I wish I would have seen this instead of spending more money on a new phone.

Actually, I was going through this guide but It looks like I still have my MEID and MDN and MIN and everything right; everything seems still be fine except I still don't have any dam service >:| so incredibly frustrating. It just says "searching for service" on the top and I can't dial 611 or *288 or anything. Thank you for trying to help though

Seeing as how you took the long rooting road, look in Settings>About Phone>PRL Version.
Is there anything there? In your case, it should say 3017. If it is blank, you should go back through the upgrade process with LGNPST to include 3017nam1.prl

if you still need help let me no:D

Usually u should get service back by booting into recovery and then rebooting back to the phone that's what I did it says in the forum if u read it...

I still need help but I have no idea what to do :/ I went to the MetroPCS store, he tried to do a factory reset, didn't work and he told me my phone is a brick, so I just switched service back to my old phone. And jrocivxx yeah of course I read the forum and I've tried everything a million times, my brain hurts from spending too much time on trying to fix it.
