One of my friends DINC2 has lost the ability to get any service. His phone was completely stock. Unfortunately the one year warranty went out on it, and he ended up just getting a new phone. While it was stock, you could not select the mobile network at all, the box was greyed out. Any attempt to make a phone call, and it would never dial.
We have another mutual friend who would like to use that Incredible, because his own has a cracked screen. I figured I could find a way to get service back on it, but had no such luck. I ended up trying to install Liquid Smooth 3.2 on it, however it still does not have a signal.
I have searched several pages through google, on several different searches, and found only one person who had this problem with a stock DINC2. Is this phone completely borked, or might there be another ROM that could possibly help.
Things I have done:
Completely Rooted the Phone
Installed Liquid Smooth 3.2 ROM
Installed CM7.2
I have tried a different back plate, one from my phone that works. The broken phones backplate works on mine even.
Works fine on Wifi
