if you can't get going
I suggest reinstall your HTC drivers
And check out remanifests guide in the sticky section

All the files you need are there

Then just skip to step 5 of remanifests guide.


Make sure you reboot your PC after driver install

There is a thread on XDA about getting Windows 8 not recognizing the HTC drivers and how to fix if that is indeed the problem.

In regards to zip idea you posted above, it says "cid incorrect" in bootloader. I've tried lowercase and caps, with the zip ext meaning.

Check your pm for a new file
